Hello from Rick and Robin! We are so glad you have found us and hope we can connect and journey on this life’s path together.

Aging is such a funny (not funny) thing. One day you are living the glory days and enjoying the best music EVER from the 1970s and 1980s, with carefree times and the biggest stress being who is hosting the next happy hour.

Then, getting an education starts to cramp your freedom a bit. Marriage happens. And a kid or three. Maybe another marriage even. Add in a career working way too many hours and activities that fill the calendar you’ve tacked up on the wall.

When in the midst of all the chaos and messes you call family, sometimes all you long for is a bit of alone time for yourself.

That’s because kids consume your days and your nights. And while you are happy with your life in the moment, the days, weeks, months, and years blur.

Then, suddenly, from seemingly out of nowhere, your dial of aging has started creeping up.

Where did that full head of hair go to, and when did we both get a fat belly? And, lawdy, why does my back hurt every morning?

Even worse is the day when you fully realize that it’s all over. Your kids are grown.  Congrats, you did it!

Now, the thing called empty nesting is real. But so is the prospect of travel. And retirement. And getting older. hawaii e1683123939157

In some ways, the last one can be the scariest one of all.  But it shouldn’t be. We’ve done life well or well enough, and it’s time to deal with our new reality of aging and make every adult moment of quality life count.

And that’s where we are at. If you’re reading this, we reckon you are too, or will be soon.

So consider this your invitation to come along with us as we navigate aging with grace.

We hope you will join our Senior Denial Society and live our best lives one age and stage at a time!

Our blog is filled with things mature adults think about: finances, fashion, fun, friends, food, and too many other factors to list right here.

If you have a topic or interest we haven’t mentioned, let us know and we’ll write about it! It’s an ongoing conversation we hope to build with you.

Reach out to us at anytime by emailing us at contact@seniordenial.com. We can take this journey together!
